Perranporth ? a popular family resort with golf and a boating lake ? is just 2 miles, Newquay's famous surfing beaches are 7 miles, and superb walking can be enjoyed along coastal paths and across moorland dotted with ancient standing stones. A fun park, steam railway and N.T. houses and gardens lie within a short drive, with Eden and the Lost Gardens of Heligan a little further afield. Goonhavern village (¼ mile) boasts a shop, pub and The World in Miniature. The city of Truro is 10 miles.
