Owl's Retreat

A heated indoor swimming pool adds to the attractions of these superbly renovated and stylishly furnished barn conversions. Set at the end of a private drive amidst beautiful countryside, they lie in 'Ruby Country', an area bristling with footpaths, cycle tracks and bridleways. The friendly village pub 1½ miles away serves good food and award-winning ales. About 6 miles away are both the attractive market town of Hatherleigh and Okehampton, gateway to superb walking, riding and fishing in wildly beautiful Dartmoor. Castle Drogo, Widecombe-in-the-Moor and Rosemoor RHS Gardens, are a short trip; sandy beaches at Bude and Westward Ho! are ¾ hour's drive. Attractive, very comfortable and well equipped, all the cottages are grouped around a landscaped courtyard (car free except for unloading and disabled visitors), each enjoying its own patio area. A games room and a children's play area are provided and 2½ acres of grounds are bordered by the River Okement (fenced for children's safety).
