The Old Stables

Perfect for families and keen fishermen alike, these delightful cottages are grouped around a courtyard within the landscaped grounds of a working trout fishery, just 700 yards from the Trout 'n Tipple inn which serves good food, has a games room and also welcomes children and dogs. Hens, ducks and guinea fowl roam freely and the fly fishing lakes are stocked with bream and rainbow trout (tackle and tuition can be arranged). There is a children's fishing lake, play and picnic areas and a well stocked tackle shop. Tavistock's great shops, theatre and leisure facilities are under 1 mile, Dartmoor National Park is almost on the doorstep and Plymouth, Kingsbridge, Salcombe and the Bigbury Bay beaches are all in easy reach.
