Middle Chilcott Farmhouse
Set in the seclusion and tranquillity of Exmoor National Park's sumptuous countryside, this spacious and comfortable traditional farmhouse lies just 1½ miles from good shopping, pubs and plentiful restaurants in the market town of Dulverton. Within a short drive are some delightful Exmoor resorts including Minehead, with its pretty Quay Street and bustling harbour; Porlock and Porlock Weir; and Lynton and Lynmouth. A trip to the Valley of the Rocks, famed for its amazing shapes and dramatic rock erosion, is a must and Watersmeet, Badgworthy Water (where the Doone family had their hideout), the West Somerset Railway and National Trust properties at Dunster Castle and Knightshayes Court are among the many attractions within easy reach. The whole area is a haven for the outdoor enthusiast, with red deer and ponies to watch out for on Exmoor, glorious walking on the South West Coastal Path, and fishing and water sports on Wimbleball Lake. Riding lessons are available a few yards away at the owners' riding stables (stabling and paddock for visitors' own horses at extra charge).
